Back Again

Well, I last wrote the 27th of June but I have had little stints of training since, and I’ve kept note a little on my calendar. For awhile, leading up to the Haney 2 Harrison I was going regularly to John’s Wednesday night workouts. I quit for the month of December. It was usually pretty miserable weather, and above anything I wanted to make sure not to get run down this year. It worked. I still got in some good hikes, skiing and snowshoeing in Calgary over Christmas, a routine Scott and I kept for a few weeks when we got back. Now all of a sudden we’re into going to the climbing gym. We each got a 3 month pass, so that is what I’ve been putting my time into lately - and watching climbing videos of course :) Good timing since the Mountain Film Festival is now on!

Today I ran 37 minutes with 2 one minute breaks at 10:00 and 21:00. It was hard to get out the door and very tough running. It might have something to do with all the wine and cheese I had last night :o

So I will back track, just write my run days and time and post them to that date so I can see how much running I actually did.

February activities

I ran for 35 minutes today.  As for the rest of my activities, they’re coming along.  Scott’s regular climbing partner is off for a month or so after an intense climbing trip to Joshua Tree, so now I go with him as much as possible; and a friend from work, Louise, and I go pretty much every Friday ;)   So far I’ve gone to Cliffhanger 7 times this month and can usually get in a few 5 10a’s.  Plus, since the Loyale’s been in the shop I’ve had to ride my bike to work all week.  It feels good.  Scott’s also off to a good start, riding everyday to work since he’s started his new job.

Wednesday

31 min run.

Tuesday

30 min run.

Saturday

30 min run with Scott in the Stanley Park Trails.  Scott hasn’t run much in the past months so it was almost barable running with him.

Thursday

31 min run

Sunday

30 min run.  This seems to be my limit these days so I’ll stick with it awhile.

Saturday

30 min run.

Tuesday

30 min jog.

Monday

30 min jog.  Just getting back into things.
